RA2L1 – 3D Gesture Control Demo

Overview

The RA2L1 3D Gesture Control Demo leverages high-sensitivity capacitive touch technology for contactless gesture recognition, enabling engineers to explore gesture-based control mechanisms in real time. Designed for smart interfaces, industrial automation, and touchless control, it utilizes the Renesas RA2L1 microcontroller to detect hand positions up to 200mm away with 1mm accuracy, even in noisy environments or behind non-conductive materials. Through LiveBench, users can remotely control a robotic arm via gestures, assessing recognition accuracy, system responsiveness, and real-time motion tracking.

With LiveBench, users can evaluate:

  • Execute left, right, forward, and reverse swipes to control a robotic arm.
  • Analyze gesture tracking accuracy and latency in real-time.
