What is EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory)?

EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) is a non-volatile memory that can be erased and reprogrammed using electrical signals. It is used to store small amounts of data that must be saved when power is turned off, like configuration settings in embedded systems.
