Overview

The RZ/V2MA SMARC SOM is a state-of-the-art LSI (Large Scale Integration) chip equipped with a highly power-efficient AI accelerator (DRP-AI) and an OpenCV accelerator for pre/post AI processing, designed to optimize AI inference performance while minimizing power consumption (1 TOP/Watt) . Featuring dual Cortex-A53 CPU cores and extensive high-speed interfaces, this chip is ideal for advanced embedded AI applications.

Capabilities

  • AI Acceleration: Equipped with DRP-AI providing 1.0 TOPS/W class power performance and OpenCV accelerator for high-performance image processing without API modifications.
  • High-Speed Interfaces: Includes 1× Gigabit Ethernet, 1× USB3.1 Gen1, 1× PCIe® Gen 2 (2 lanes), 2× SDIO 3.0, and 1× eMMC™ 4.5.1 for versatile connectivity options.
  • Video and Graphics Processing: Supports H.265/H.264 multi codec with encoding capabilities up to 2160p for H.265 and up to 1080p for H.264.
  • Memory and CPU: Features dual Cortex®-A53 CPUs running at up to 996 MHz and 32-bit LPDDR4-3200 memory interface for robust processing power and memory bandwidth.
  • Compact Package: Comes in an FCBGA package with a 15×15 mm size and 0.5-mm pitch, suitable for space-constrained applications.

Features

  • Run machine vision algorithms on three different types (Demo video, User uploaded video and live webcam feed) of input feeds .
  • Compare the performance of different models of object detection, pose estimation etc.
  • Monitor the voltage, current and power variation in the input power rail
  • Monitor temperature variations in the system using a thermal camera.
  • Observe the electrical and system parameters variation by power cycling the board.
  • Benchmark the performance of the board using standard python script and a CLI.
