What is Power Diode?

A power diode is a type of diode designed to handle high currents and high voltages, making it ideal for use in power electronics. Power diodes are typically used in circuits requiring high-speed switching and rectification, such as in power supplies, motor drives, and inverters. They allow current to flow in only one direction, converting alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) in high-power applications.
