Overview

The AIROC CYW20829 is a high-performance, ultra-low-power MCU with Bluetooth LE 5.4, engineered for IoT applications. It integrates advanced features like analog-to-digital audio conversion, I2S/PCM, CAN, and LIN, making it ideal for use in automotive contexts and various communication and timing applications.

The CYW20829 is particularly suited for devices such as wireless input devices, remotes, keyboards, and Bluetooth Mesh, as well as for asset tracking and IoT solutions requiring 10-dBm RF output power in areas like lighting and home automation. Capabilities

A high-performance compute subsystem featuring an Arm Cortex M33 core, specifically tailored for embedded applications.
A dedicated Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) controller subsystem, equipped with separate RAM and ROM resources optimized for Bluetooth applications.
The capability to measure received signal strength indication (RSSI) with a resolution as fine as 1 dB.
The link layer engine has the capacity to manage up to 16 connections simultaneously, with four of these connections designated as peripheral.
CYW20829 offers versatile clocking options, including on-chip crystal oscillators, a frequency lock loop, and support for various external clock sources.

Features

Enables precise evaluation of power consumption for the CYW20829 Bluetooth Low Energy SoC.
Provides real-time monitoring of current consumption fluctuations during various stages of Bluetooth connection establishment (e.g., advertising, scanning, connection initiation, data transmission) and different power modes (e.g., normal mode, sleep mode, deep sleep mode, deep sleep-RAM, hibernate mode).
Facilitates analysis of current consumption variations based on different Bluetooth connection parameters, such as connection interval, connection latency, and advertising interval.
Supports evaluation of current consumption behavior during device activities, including BLE device connection, advertisement, and transitions between different power modes.
Identification of any abnormal current consumption patterns or spikes that may indicate inefficiencies or issues in the SoC’s operation.
Documentation of test results, including graphical representations of power consumption data, to facilitate analysis and comparison.
