What is PIN Diode?

A PIN Diode is a semiconductor device with a wide, undoped intrinsic region sandwiched between p-type and n-type regions. It is commonly used in high-frequency applications, such as RF switches and attenuators, due to its ability to switch quickly and handle large amounts of power.
